Thoughts on General Conference
I was listening to These things I know by Boyd K. Packer this evening. You might remember the talk, like I did, for the poem that be recited having written bits of it at 68, 78, and 88 years old. You might even remember the story about the finches in his backyard and the snakes that suddenly showed up one week.
Among his comments there was an interesting quote:
Welcome now to the Sunday morning session and the continuation of this little record of my thoughts. Last night I didn't finish my Priesthood session comments because I was talking with Telima about them first. Then it was pretty late. I'll get those up later today.
This is part 3 of 5 but is not being typed in real-time as I am sitting in a hard seat stuck between two people who are larger than their seats. No computer. But here is a summary of the thoughts that I jotted down during the session.
Part 2 of my ongoing thoughts regarding conference. I tried to get wodaben to to do this summary but she wanted to continue packing (which she didn't end up doing anyway, at least not after she finished the first box).
I thought that it might help me stay focused on the messages of conference if I wrote about them while listening. These are my thoughts, reflections, and some summary information about the talks. As you might guess this will be part 1 of 5 (the third being delayed because I will not have a computer with me).
